Important Information for ALL Trailer Hire

  1. Please bring two forms of identity with you when you collect the trailer. These MUST include a current valid UK driving licence confirming you are legally allowed to tow a trailer, proof of your home address, and photographic ID (your driving licence will suffice as photographic ID, providing it contains your photograph). We cannot let you take a trailer without valid ID.
  2. The driver is responsible for ensuring the vehicle they will be using is capable of towing the trailer they are hiring. In the event that the vehicle is not suitable to tow the trailer – either because of weight of trailer/load or legal requirements for towing – no refund can be given and alternative trailers cannot be provided.
  3. The hirer will be required to make sure that they are insured for towing our trailer with their vehicle and that they are responsible for the security of the trailer whilst in hire. Trailers cannot be hired without third party liability insurance which is normally standard on your motor vehicle insurance.
  4. Please allow enough time to check the trailer on collection. We advise that you allow at least half an hour for this, and cannot guarantee that we will be able to allow you to proceed with the hire if you arrive less than 30 minutes before our closing time.
  5. As all trailers may not be kept on the premises, we cannot proceed with bookings unless full payment is made at the time the hire is confirmed so we can ensure the trailer for your hire is on site ready for your collection.
  6. A legal oblong number plate must be fitted to the trailer before it will be allowed to leave. If you do not have a legal number plate we are able to supply number plates at a cost of £15+VAT, to make a number plate we will need to see an original vehicle registration document and the drivers licence .
